I saw Iggy back in 1975 or so. I was maybe 10-15 feet from the stage on the side of his keyboard player who was way to the side of the stage wearing a nondescript flannel shirt and doing absolutely nothing to draw attention to himself. My friends and I knew who it was because there had been rumors floating around, but I don't know how many of the crowd did.

Towards the end of the show, David Bowie stepped out from behind the keyboards, gave the crowd a little wave and went back to playing.
