The dollars and cents of tariffs.

Sales, not revenue.

It all adds up.

And tariffs can go away if the other countries play ball, things like these fees and surcharges only go up year after year after year.
Sales is like 2/3rds of their revenue, so it's really not a significant difference.

It adds up to a minimal percentage of their overall costs.

On the other hand, the costs associated with Trump's tariffs are far from minimal. Amazon really has nothing to do with the other countries "playing ball", but they can tell us consumers what the effects of Trump's policies are. Why don't you want people to know about that?

It has? California is now the fourth largest GDP in the world. How is Mississippi, Alabama, and Louisiana doing?
A better question would be how is Florida, Texas and Tennessee doing, Zinc! The answer to that is "much better than California!"

Empirically speaking, trump is breaking the growing economy he inherited.
In case you hadn't noticed, Berg...the stock market is trending up again...five days in a row of positive numbers. Wall Street has figured out that Trump is going to win on tariffs and they are adjusting to that. Now my question for you is what are YOU going to do when our economy starts to boom?

You don't want people to know how much they are paying in taxes?
You don't have to tell people they are paying more. They know it. Just like they knew they were paying a lot more for a really long time when Biden's policies kicked off rampant inflation.

I know exactly how much i am paying in sales tax. this is no different as its literally a sales tax at the Federal level.

Have we ever, in our history as a nation, had a President less informed about the world than Donald Trump is?

The previous Republican President is the only candidate that comes to mind.

Are you seeing the same trend that I'm seeing?
Yes. They are old, out of touch and lame.

Because Wall St. sees Dotard slowly walking back from the abyss. They see his actions are being impacted by the stock and bond market's reaction to his clownish ignorance.

Why yes, how quickly you loons want to forget Biden.

For a poster who clearly knows nothing but what he is told to think, bug certainly bloviates an awful lot.

Tariffs do cost. That much he knows. But hits all he knows or acknowledges.

He obviously chooses to ignore (if he’s smart enough to understand it at all) that tariffs also defer economic benefits.

That’s the part of the story one never get from shitbags lie bug. Absolutely dishonest and/or stupid propagandist that he is.

Remember when Republicans were against Tariffs? Eckridge Farm remembers.

‘Tariffs don’t protect, they backfire’

-Ronald Reagan.

Perfect, only the lefywinging idiot's believe that corporations actually pay taxes instead of just adding it to the cost of their goods and services.

So you are admitting that TRUMP tariffs will be passed to consumers

Danny, if our economy was "roaring" then Joe Biden or Kamala Harris would be our President right now! It wasn't and that's the reason that Donald Trump IS our President!
How quickly you forget…

Trump was elected because of INFLATION that Biden couldn’t control.
Trump promised to fix inflation on “day one”

Instead, he invokes crippling tariffs that will raise consumer prices on all products.

He expects us to endure “a little pain”

but trump policies do not HIKE those taxes. Nor do they seem to cut them, but that might be interesting if they did. Trump ran on CUTTING taxes.

No way Bezit does this, though
Tariffs do hike taxes. A tariff is a sales tax on imported products.

Fair point. Not so sure though. Trump is a lame duck and this is hurting business.
If Beezit did list the tax hikes on products, he would be weighing into political speak, and I still don't understand why he bought the Wash Post.

Still, if we have a recession, and Trump tax hikes, he should probably hole up in Mar a Lago and wait for 28.

Sales are directly related to what people pay for the goods in question.

Let them know, but let them know how much other far more hidden government charges cost them as well.

You might not get it. But people are free to disagree.

I wonder why tariffs have been used by so many nations for so long.
