Unfortunately this is the day and age of computerization. While it is still possible to start your social security benefits by phone increasingly, staff decrease or not, it's shifting over to the internet.

Using a cell phone to scan your face for the original identity at the same time you're opening an account on the computer is the way it is done now.

There is no plan in place to continue the same level of service before gutting this workforce by 50%, it is not going to increase 'efficiency" without serious growing pains, and that is with a plan in place. There has been been no time, to say nothing of the expertise, to develop any of these plans yet.

I am a legitimate Social Security recipient, 78 years old. . I have not lost one dime, nor have I received any notice warning of that.

I have no reason to think I'm going to have my Social Security, Medicaid, or anything else cut. As far as I see the only ones who are being cut, are employees who are unecessary to the departments they're in, and $$ going to idiotic LGBT, DEI, and other such garbage.

Time will tell. In the meantime, I'm not worried about anything, and I don't use typical Democrat fearmongering as a guidleline.
