and the last step before revolution would be a Constitutional Convention. As it stands now, the process would be handled by the same asshats that we have now and would be certain to destroy what few protections we have left. The devil, and I mean devil, would be who selects the delegates, and how it would be reported in the press. We lose on all fronts there, it's better if we wise up and start putting real pressure on both parties to straighten out before it's too late. It is an almost impossible task, but we are running out of options, and when the shoe drops it will fall on everyone. What Happens During a Constitutional Convention? | PCFJE

The two party system has us at each other throats. It creates artificial division and fans the flames of fear and hatred. Nothing changes until we change that. But the shit parties stand in our way. They like the game just the way it is.

We have to learn to say "no".

Yeah, for about 20 years.
Any Sap still believing in this BS is an idiot or a boomer.

There arent enough people who are against the two major parties, IMO. Even "independents" will vote for one of the 2.
Democrats hate the constitution when they are in power, love it when the repubs are. Vice versa for the repubs.
Disingenuous assholes. The lot of em'.

The best way to do so is for we the people to stay informed. Use a broad array of sources for your info and verify what you are being told is accurate before accepting it.

The media landscape is only capable of putting us at each other's throats if we allow it to. Ultimately, the health of our democracy is our responsibility that no constitutional convention will make easier unless we become more educated and more involved. Vote.............and know who and what you're voting for.

We are a post-vote society. Every society reaches this point where there is a critical mass. The corruption grows to a point that it is open and naked. Elections are rigged or controlled in such a way that the wealthy interests (oligarchy) overwhelm those of the masses. There is a severely unequal distribution of wealth. Infrastructure suffers as monies are stolen and/or misappropriated.
This was the death of the Roman Republic. The Weimar Republic. What resulted from those? Dictators.
We are entering that collapse zone where even the highest ranks of our 'Republic' are populated with the most vile, corrupt creatures imaginable.

Reform the mob?

The issue is centralized power. Too much of it has been centralized to the Federal level. Anyone with a shred of common sense will tell you that increased power equals increased corruption. So, you can try all you want to put "good" people into this system, but they will come out not as good because power corrupts.

What needs to happen is for a Constitutional convention to reduce the size and centralized power of the Federal government, like it was originally set up.

Anything less is pointless.

If that were true, more people would be voting for anything other than R or D. They aren't.
As they know it is a wasted vote obviously. The closest thing was Ross Perot and all he did was spoil George W Bushes run, which a Massie or someone else might succeed at doing in 2028.

China is biding their time, I give them credit for being able to analyze the West and let us sink ourselves. All they need is weak career government officials and greed. Ultimately the rest will take care of itself.

Mass unemployment of a young generation that cannot afford a home or to have kids will set the West into rapid, unpatriotic decline. Guys like Elon tell his followers "have kids" when these citizens cannot even afford rent and their job is going to a computer or a foreign who will work for peanuts. He then tells everyone "the future is great, you won't even need to work"!

I mean talk about a guy who is out of touch. What in the hell has he been smoking?

America cannot, no, MUST NOT follow our path. Trump said he would reclaim manufacturing and lost industries. Put together a committee to study and analyze the best policies and methods to get costs down, especially rent and housing etc. Use A.I FFS, put it to good use rather than humming out new code, sonnets and videos.

Government spending and money supply have sunk generations.
