Let's be realistic: The Democrats know they don't have a chance of winning in the midterm and next Presidential elections. This is obvious to everyone who isn't living in a van down by the river. From the day President Biden was sworn in, he and his administration went full-blown leftist, pushing through every Marxist pipe dream they could conceive.

Those things they gleefully did knowing full and well that the American people would suffer the pain from the massive government spending, the increased tax burden, the inflation, the shortages, the disruptions in the supply lines, and now a war in Europe, which could go nuclear at any minute. They also knew very well that the American people would eventually reject their destructive policies.

So why?

The answer is simple: The Democrats know that no matter how destructive their policies are, the whole enchilada would be handed off to the next administration. A primarily conservative and Republican administration. An administration that's going to be forced to reckon with the previous four years of wanton political gluttony, economic stupidity, and the pushing of societal abnormalities which could only be construed as "lunacy." But wait. You say "Well there's no difference between Democrats and Republicans"? There is a difference, you'd better believe that. Were we undergoing the same things four years ago, that we are now? Not really.

What the Democrats have done in effect is scorching the earth, poisoning the wells, and burning their bridges behind them, knowing full well that the next administration will have everything dumped squarely in their laps. In which case, they will sit in the background jeering at the next administration for the conditions they themselves created, even going so far as to blame the next administration for it.

You just watch. All one has to do is look back through history:

Scythian

"The Scythians used scorched-earth methods against the Persian Achaemenid Empire, led by King Darius the Great, during his European Scythian campaign. The Scythians, who were nomadic herders, evaded the Persian invaders and retreated into the depths of the steppes after they had destroyed food supplies and poisoned wells.

Armenian

The Greek general Xenophon recorded in his Anabasis that the Armenians, as they withdrew, burned their crops and food supplies before the Ten Thousand could advance.[citation needed]

Greek

The Greek mercenary general Memnon of Rhodes unsuccessfully suggested to the Persian satraps to use a scorched-earth policy against Alexander the Great, who was moving into Asia Minor.

Roman

The system of punitive destruction of property and subjugation of people when accompanying a military campaign was known as vastatio. Two of the first uses of scorched earth recorded both happened in the Gallic Wars. The first was used when the Celtic Helvetii were forced to evacuate their homes in Southern Germany and Switzerland because of incursions of unfriendly Germanic tribes: to add incentive to the march, the Helvetii destroyed everything they could not bring.[4] After the Helvetii were defeated by combined Roman and Gallic forces, the Helvetii were forced to rebuild themselves on the plains they themselves had destroyed.

During the Second Punic War in 218–202 BCE, the Carthaginians used the method selectively while storming through Italy.[5] After the end of the Third Punic War in 146 BCE, the Roman Senate also elected to use this method to permanently destroy the Carthaginian capital city, Carthage (near modern-day Tunis). The buildings were torn down, their stones scattered so not even rubble remained, and the fields were burned. However, the story that they salted the earth is apocryphal.[6]

In the year CE 363, the Emperor Julian's invasion of Persia was turned back by a scorched-earth policy:

The extensive region that lies between the River Tigris and the mountains of Media ...was in a very improved state of cultivation. Julian might expect, that a conqueror, who possessed the two forcible instruments of persuasion, steel and gold, would easily procure a plentiful subsistence from the fears or avarice of the natives. But, on the approach of the Romans, the rich and smiling prospect was instantly blasted. Wherever they moved ... the cattle was driven away; the grass and ripe corn were consumed with fire; and, as soon as the flames had subsided which interrupted the march of Julian, he beheld the melancholy face of a smoking and naked desert. This desperate but effectual method of defence can only be executed by the enthusiasm of a people who prefer their independence to their property; or by the rigor of an arbitrary government, which consults the public safety without submitting to their inclinations the liberty of choice.[7]

Democrats know that if Republicans run Trump for a third time in 2024, they are guaranteed victory

Nothing gets out the vote like running against Trump

What are going to run on? $7 gasoline? 8% inflation? Shortages and supply line disruptions" War in Europe? Malaise? Stagflation? Saving 16 cents on Fourth of July hot dogs last year?

Oh wait...you're going to run on Joe Biden's magnificent oratory, where he stands up straight for 10 minutes, misreads the teleprompter, and then turns his back and walks off stage?

The Democrats will not win the midterms. The party in power of the White House never does. The Democrats will probably win the next presidential. At the moment only Trumpers are likely to head the ticket on the Republican side. People know if you let a Trumper back in, after last time, it is a vote to just give up the vote, they definitely will try it again if they lose re-election, but know what they did wrong, and it will be an armed, broad-based overthrow attempt next time.

Yet here you are....still blaming Obama and melting down over Clinton. Project much?

Why shouldn't I blame them? Clinton's and the Democrat's economic policies were responsible the great recession GW inherited, as was the war in Ukraine inherited from Obama. He could have prevented this, but it took a Trump to do that.

Ya, the party in power usually gets shellacked in the midterms. I wouldn't expect it to be any different this time.

The same Trump that gave Syria to Russia to practice it's new weaponry on and bomb the shit out of civilians? That one?

So you wanted to see the US involved in another Iraq or Afghanistan in Syria? You sound like a war-mongering neocon or something.

If you're going to be a war-mongering neocon, please make sure you have a strong leader first, ok? Not that weak-assed Biden. He has a tendency to let his alligator mouth overload his hummingbird ass.

The GOP attempted to overthrow Democracy and commit insurrection.

It is scorched Earth. Fuck the GOP. Traitors.
The Democrat Cult's mass voter fraud crimes, ballot rigging crimes, abuse of power with the IRS, CIA, FBI, and DOJ are destroying our representative constitutional democracy.
Pelosi's bogus impeachments were a dagger in our "democracy".
Pelosi's bogus Mueller investigation was an assault on our "democracy".
Hillary's Russian collusion crime was an attack on our "democracy"
Obama's FISA Court crimes were a beat down of our "democracy".
Joe Biden using his crackhead son to sell influence and launder bribes is an assault on our "democracy".

By 2024, Covid will be over, Russia will have withdrawn from Ukraine, gas prices will be down

Bidens Infrastructure bill will be in full gear with visible projects and a million new jobs

Republicans can run on how they voted against it
Trump can run on how he supported Putin and Jan 6
