Have you ever actually known anyone on government assistance? I used to design devices for people with mobility and hearing impairment. To see how they live on their 'generous' government stipend is deeply depressing. Here as in most posts, you don't know what the fuck you're talking about.

Why don't you tell me what you mean by 'doing just fine'. Because here's what I saw:

Small, dingy apartments the smell of which would make most people want to hurl. Bad part of town. Every bit of furniture and appliances looking like they were left on someone's curb long after they should have been retired. And you'd like to take even that away. You are truly a prince among men. What a piece of shit.

Says the guy who drives on state-maintained streets and highways and still can't even find his own keys.

I'm one of those that drives on those roads. I also pay the taxes that fund them. Just paid the property taxes on 3 vehicles and an RV. All of them had a road maintenance fee included in addition to the taxes. I also pay taxes when I put fuel in those vehicles. Unlike those receiving social welfare handouts that don't pay into the specific tax pot that funds what they get handed for nothing, I pay my portion.
