The US has invited an Israeli delegation to present them some alternatives to the Rafah operation. The delegation will arrive next week and reportedly among them is Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer, who just made the telling statement:

"It's gonna happen. And it will happen even if Israel is forced to fight alone, even if the entire world turns on Israel, including the United States," Dermer declared.

Minister of Defense Gallant will also be among the delegates (or he makes up a separate delegation) to request weapons.

"A senior Israeli official says Gallant’s requests include short-term needs for the war in Gaza and longer-term asks like the option to purchase more F-35 and F-15 jets, according to Axios."
