The commie government agency THE FDA, wants to regulate the cheese on a pizza.

All right, let me settle this right now.

Nutritional Information on Your Favorite Foods on the Menu at Domino's

Look. Everything you could POSSIBLY want to know about the nutritional content of Domino's pizza. If you're too damned lazy or stupid to use the Interwebz, then I see no reason why the rest of us should suffer for it.
How will you suffer from it?

First of all, it's a nuisance having that crap posted all over hell's half-acre. McDonald's puts it on their menu now, as well as a number of other restaurants, and it results in print so small that I have to lean over the counter and squint to read what I want to see. And do I really NEED to see printed evidence that McDonald's is bad for me? Duhhh.

Second of all, one of the major reasons restaurants post that crap on their websites instead of in their restaurants is that it's more convenient and cost-effective to them. Know what happens when doing business becomes less convenient and cost-effective to the owners? That's right, the prices go up. Do I need to pay more for my food because you're a lazy dumbass who doesn't know how to punch up Domino's website on your phone, and apparently doesn't know that pizza is not a healthy weight loss menu item?

You pay more for your food because of inflation so no a printed page is not going to ruin your meal in any way..

Jesus, they can show you on the screen what you purchase when you order on-line. It wouldn't be hard for them to add the calories up based on the pizza you order. Just as easy to print it on your receipt too. The FDA is the dinosaur in the room.

Several things struck me as counterintuitive about Obamacare, but I honestly never even though of this one. (shaking head)

Ahhh, yes. The leftist simplemindedness just radiates off of you like nuclear waste off of a degrading pile of plutonium. OBVIOUSLY, there can be only one reason, because anything else would be too complicated for your mind; ergo, it can't be true.

Subway advertises this stuff. LOL I ate their stuff twice last week when my wife was gone. I'll to Little Ceasars in a pinch cause its on the way home and I don't have to call in an order

If a restaurant CHOOSES to do it, that's something else. Although, again, if the prices are going to go up to pay for starting to advertise it, I'm gonna be pissed.

I prefer to know how many calories I eat at each meal it's called weight control. I also like to know the ingredients I am purchasing along with fat content for any future strokes I'd like to avoid..

I find it ironic that the very people who rail about obese people are the same one's who protest the posting of nutritional information and calories on products. I don't eat fast food often, but when I do and I see how loaded in calories and fat some items are - it affects my choice.

Who?

I haven't really noticed that. In fact, I've seen mostly the opposite.

Yes. That's what these laws are about - "affecting" other people's choices.

Just another thing the government is sticking their noses where they don;t belong.
The Government is getting way to intrusive in our lives. The main decision about pizza should be if it tatses good, not the nutritional value or the calorie count

How about a website that shows calories per serving of certain things..........Instead of the store........

http...........dominoes data or something.........put http on the wall and those that want to google......have a blast..........

It' all true.....

One slice of pizza is actually a good balance of carbs, fats and protein, and as the crust is very air-filled, it actually isn't as calorie dense as other foods.
It depends what you have put on it....I use lots of tomato sauce I make, herbs I grow and I make to dough myself to control how much if any of salts and oil goes into the crust...The oil is to make the crust crispy and dark.. So we usually have deep dish...and low fat mozzarella cheese, mushrooms and ham or pepperoni..which turkey version have a lower fat content..

Grilled chicken is zero points on weight watchers, makes more room for the buffalo sauce of the bbq chicken pizza.
I was on weight watchers in the later 1960's I was so big, at 11 I was at 168 pounds...

it works if you stay on it, and try not to be too far over on your weekly point allotment.

Down 21 lbs since january.

It also makes you want to work out as you "buy" more points via exercise.

Good healthy weight loss. Congratulations!

I lost a lot of weight when I retired, and I was eating whatever I wanted. I was also doing all my own cooking because I couldn’t afford to go out to lunch every day. A friend pointed out I was totally controlling how much fat and sugar I was eating. I’ve also completely eliminated pop from my diet, replacing it with ice tea.

I’ve read articles which say that processed foods are full of chemicals our bodies weren’t designed to digest. The foods bind with the chemicals and our bodies store them as fat because they can’t properly digest them. I know that when I changed over from processed foods to organic, I lost weight without making any other changes in what I was eating.

I rarely trust those holistic type sites because 1/2 the time the people running them are trying to sell something (and about the other 1/2 they have no real basis in science).

To me dieting is simple:

Step 1: Eat less you fat bastard
Step 2: Exercise you lazy bastard.

But if it works for you, go with it. I've had people say my methods are sub-optimal, but they work as long as I stick with them.

Yes. Giving them information so they can make INFORMED choices. Why is that such a problem?

Why not the store? It's more meaningful for me to see side by side comparisons at the moment of choice.

You wouldn't buy a car without knowing the details of the vehicle and that information is printed in magazines, newspapers and flyers for consumers...

I find it unbelievable that so many people think the government should take the place of personal responsibility.

Because it's not the government's job to mandate where and how that information is provided, nor is it the government's job to MAKE people be informed if they're not willing to do the incredibly simple job of doing it for themselves.

That’s fine, someone else’s health and eating habits are none of your or my business...
