When I go to the local A&W, their menu, which is posted on the wall above the pass through from the kitchen, lists the calories for all their meals. I don’t know if it’s a legal requirement in Ontario but the information will certainly make me think twice about ordering both French fries and onion rings with my Mama burger.

The idea that asking a restaurant chain to post caloric content on their menus is an onerous burden is bullshit. All pizza joints have “house” choices with set ingredients and all big chains have test kitchens. The set menu is designed and dictated by head office, they’ll add the nutritional information to the next printing and it’s done. No ones asking them to provide exact information for every variation of their custom order combinations.

It’s tougher for the one-offs to provide the information but cheap and easy for the big chains.

I agree. The bacon and pepperoni are high fat, as is the cheese, but with veggie toppings and proscuito instead of bacon, it’s not a terrible choice.

I generally eat clean and organic but I do occasionally get a yen for some good French fries or a nice pizza. It doesn’t mean I don’t care about my health or my weight. All things in moderation.

Most mozzarella is low fat skim milk cheese food used in the industry because it cost less than fat milk food product.....

So we usually have deep dish...and low fat mozzarella cheese, mushrooms and ham or pepperoni..which turkey version have a lower fat content..

I do I have books of list of calorie content for food products, been doing it since the 1970's when I decided to stop being a fat kid...

I gain weight in the winter because of less physical activity but I usually stay around two hundred and thirty. When I could work full time I was usually at two hundred....I don't drink booze my worse is soda pop..
