Jesus Christ set up his church with Apostles and other offices of the priesthood. Man did not make this up from his own mind. It was Jesus who established the makeup of his church. The laying on of hands, as I have shown you in the bible, was done by the Apostles of Jesus Christ whom Jesus chose himself. This was not man made as you suppose. The authority that was given to his Apostles came directly from Jesus himself. And yes, when they laid their hands upon those who repented and were baptized, they did in fact receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Your dodge on this is ridiculous.
Your writings are not hard on me because they are not true. I know that you are the one in the dark on this. As I've pointed out in previous posts, God gave Apostles and prophets and other priesthood offices to his church for the perfecting of the saints until we all come to the unity of the faith.
Ephesians 4:11-14
11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
The true church of Jesus Christ will always have Apostles and Prophets, etc. until we all come to the unity of faith and the knowledge of the Son of God unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ. And those Apostles and prophets and other priesthood holders of Christ's church will continue in doing what they have been commissioned by Christ to do such as baptizing and laying on their hands to confer the gift of the Holy Ghost. If you don't believe this then you certainly do not believe the Bible.
