Most of the time, they don't have to. Neither do most private unions.

Point was, PATCO was in the right. Air Traffic control needed updating of equipment and better working conditions.

Striking was an illegal action. They had the money to work inside the system. Their choice was to accept the equipment supplied OR QUIT.

Seems to me you are wildly speculating that the two are related. It actually sounds like the Air crew did it's job, and the Delta flight didn't follow instructions.

It doesn’t really matter, unless there is solid evidence on the ATC tapes the flight crew will be held responsible. The captain is responsible for everything that happens on the aircraft.

Those are weird names. Are these American women?

They are African born. Not sure about their citizenship status. Not sure why anyone would bother even trying to become an official citizen at this point. Don’t need to be a citizen, to live, work, get a drivers license and vote.
