I have to say that the one weak spot I don't like in the Texas law is the six week thing. At six weeks, many people don't yet even know they are pregnant yet, and while the fetus tissue may be alive, it isn't until around the 26th week that the fetus begins to take on human characteristics. If it had been me, I would have made the law with a more reasonable window, maybe 12 weeks.
