So the number of oil rigs operating plummeted under Biden despite oil skyrocketing.The number of rigs in operation are the key. There were 805 in operation pre-pandemic. In Jan 21 there were 384 rigs in operation. As of February 22, there were 650 rigs in operation. There are still 150 oil rigs that have not been opened. Oil companies are keeping supplies down to keep prices high.
