I agree. Kids are not cognizant of protocol and they are not trained in how to handle a situation like that.That is one horrific story. If true and I stress "if". If it is true, and the teacher had little girl assigned to escort sick children to the nurse in lieu of an adult being sent to escort the sick kids, and then had the little girl assigned to pick up the books, belongings and book bag of kids to sick to stay and being taken home, the teacher is most definitely to blame for the sickness and death of the child.
A nurse would have been far more careful and had the kind of training to handle it as safely as possible.
That said
"Thirteen children have died from COVID-19 throughout the state, according to the agency."
I thought kids couldn't get covid and even if they did wouldn't die from it. Wasn't that the argument for not having mask policies in schools?
By the way...this poor kid was NOT obese. Pudgy and obese are very different things.
