We have no war with the Iranian people. In 1953 the Islamists seized BP oil infrastructure and a non-radical President was installed in line with their typical governance. Iran flourished until again, Islamists took over in a coup.

Iran had a monarchy from 1925 to 1979. In 1979, the monarch (Shaw) was overthrown by Ayatollah Khomeini and Iran became an Islamic Republic that vowed the Death of America and to banish the Jews 'from the river to the sea.' The Ayatollah Khomeini was responsible for terrorist groups like Hezbollah who carried out attacks around the world. Khomeini held Americans for 444 days. Khomeini is responsible for terrorist proxies wreaking havoc. Democrat apologists said Khomeini was not designated as a terrorist which is a bunch of bovine excrement.
