The Mullahs are nuts, anyway. The Persian people were fairly liberal before the yoke of Islam closed down upon them 47 years ago.
People need to understand that the Mullahs do not see themselves as administering to a nation-state, but advancing the Ummah until the entire world is under the jackboot. Two decades ago, Rafsanjani came right out and said the reason they wanted nukes is to nuke Israel and any potential response on Israel's part would cause "damages only". to the Ummah. He didn't care if Iran is obliterated as long as Israel is destroyed.

Not only that but they actually screwed up. The tanker they hit was the wrong one. The tanker they hit was taking oil to their friend China. But, you're right. They don't give a shit if the water around the Strait turns solid black.
What would the USA do if a country attacked us and then occupied us? Bombed us daily. Would we not bomb the tankers going through the Gulf of America?
Plus, it doesn't seem like Trump's going to be there very long. I heard he's going to pull out and tell the rest of the world either buy oil from us or clean up the mess I made.

I don't think Trump will "bail" without some kind of understanding that the shooting will stop. But, that in itself worries me. If we don't get regime change then all we did is buy some time until Iran gets right back to where they were and if Democrats are in charge by that time, the US will be in a world of trouble in waiting for Iran to be an "imminent" threat. By the time they are an imminent threat it will be too late and we will have been nuked. Even Iran's Arab Gulf neighbors want us to finish the job. There's a reason for that. They know Iran better than we do.

We have been attacked, repeatedly…Iran has repeatedly attacked us, and this is what happens when you attack us
What baffles me is they aren't attacking us now inside the USA. You would think they'd have some sleeper cells inside the USA to pay us back for what we've done.
When and where were we attacked? I get it. When they f with us we should blow their airplane or ship up. But start a war? Take out the leader? Is that cool now? Taking out other countries leaders? Then I guess it's okay for them to do that to us moving forward. RIGHT?
I'll agree we should bomb them when they "attack" or threaten us.
But to de stabilize the region without a good plan? Are you sure this isn't just going to make things worse? Who's running Afghanistan now? The Taliban you say?
