It seems Turkey decided to play its card. Something tells me that after a while there will be 'additional' Syrian state in the northern part and Aleppo will be its capital.

Recall that the civil war that erupted in 2011 saw the US backing insurgents that sought to overthrow the government of Syria.

I doubt that there's no connection between this latest uprising against Aleppo and the recent Israel/Hezbollah ceasefire, especially as Hezbollah as been supportive of the Syrian government. Israel has been bombing Syria on and off for some time and recently they became more active militarily against the Syrian government.

Our affairs with Syrian dissidents has been ongoing since the late 1960's. There was quite an uproar over some US jets we gave/sold them in the early 70's. Because we seen those jets fire on US interests in the region and destroy peace in the region.

Assad is sectarian dipshit who poses as Syrian president, but will not accept honorable, safe and dignified return of millions of Syrian refugees back to Syria.
It cost Erdogan lots of sympathies even considering to sit down with someone who gassed its own people with chemical weapons.
That chapter is closed, and facts are made on the ground.
Anyone intervening will get full punishment of Turkish Army in genocide mode.
