Support for Capitalism at a new low

Or become like... I don't know, The Establishment and the Democraps. The beauty of decentralization and many parties is that not one party can bring down the entire country. I'm all for it, are you? Can you live without the democraps controlling everything in every citizen's life and letting 10 other parties compete with your beloved establishment democraps who want to run the country for the benefit of the establishment and its benefactors? Like polarized comments? The two parties are loving how polarized the electorate has become because it guarantees their survival and no other significant competition. It means all they have to do is give the people political theater to keep them distracted while they fight behind the scenes for more share of Big Money.

What the **** is a "Democrap"?

Sounds like you're not being very serious to me.
You diverted from the discussion. Can you live without the democratic party controlling everything in every citizen's life and letting 10 other parties compete with the democratic party, that wants to run the country for the benefit of the establishment and its benefactors? Happy? Can you respond without trashing Trump?

There are two ideologies, two political parties, so to speak.

America is one ideology and that is under attack by one political party.

Of course we have the GOP being taken over by MAGAC/Trump/tea party

You have the old racist democrat party being taken over by the young and old Marxist tyrant anarchist etc. ....

Capitalism, that is the tea party-maga people, capitalism needs no guard rails. Individuals, sure.

Something that doesn't exist has hit a new low. News how?

It’s a great brainwashing process which goes very slow and is divided into four basic stages, the first one being demoralization. It takes from 15 to 20 years to demoralize a nation. Why that many years? Because this is the minimum number of years which is required to educate one generation of students in the country of your enemy exposed to the ideology of your enemy. In other words, Marxism / Leninism ideology is being pumped into the soft heads of at least 3 generations of American students without being challenged or counterbalanced by the basic values of Americanism, American patriotism.

Now, if a war should break out between China/Russia against the US, China/Russia has about 30 million violent American neo-leftists ready help them destroy America from within. America doesn't stand a chance.

The war has been going on for decades.
It is here.
It is now.
Our fundamental American culture is being torn apart by the demented avenger subverted demoralized Stalinist Marxist Leninist zombies every freaking day.
Sanctuary cities and states are actively defying federal immigration laws.
They are actively working against the American People by unleashing criminals into the populous via no cash bail, and DA's that won't prosecute them with FAKE fears of RACISM as an excuse to further mayhem and crisis.
The four years of purposely opening the borders to TENS OF MILLIONS OF ILLEGAL ALIENS was not a mistake, it was a MISSION.
Yeah, the WAR is ON.

Oh look. Ms.Contrary-pants had a chuckle
What a cowardly POS.
Got some refutation to offer, asshole?

No surprise since the few own the many. No matter the economic system, there are always tiers of economic conditions.
Do you feel owned at all? Who owns you? Who is your master?

Did anyone order you to post that? No? Then nobody owns you. Your own conscience and proclivities drive you. You are your own master, moonie. I shouldn't have to tell you that, because I know you're old enough to know better.

The 'few' do not own the 'many.' And if they do, it's because the cancer of ignorance drives Americans to vote for people who put money over humanity.

Well, this is absolutely no surprise. Support for Capitalism -- by far the most dynamic engine of growth, prosperity and freedom -- is shrinking.

This is what happens when ANY system is perverted and misapplied. In the case of Capitalism, misapplication will INVARIABLY end up creating massive wealth disparity and dead ends for the lower classes.

Many who claim to be Capitalists, for example, have been convinced that any government involvement in the economy, such as regulation, is the bane of capitalism. The reality is that proper and efficient regulation is a CRITICAL COMPONENT of Capitalism.

The Meltdown of 2008 -- from which we are STILL experiencing the effects -- was a prime example. First Clinton repealed Glass Steagall and opened the doors to the derivatives that damn near killed us. Then Alan Greenspan publicly refused to regulate those same derivatives that damn near killed us.

And now it looks like we're going down the same ******* road. Is it any wonder that Americans are so disgusted with this version of Capitalism that a shitty system like Socialism is actually attractive to them?

Image of Capitalism Slips to 54% in U.S. -- Perceptions of socialism remain steady at 39% positive
When the political elites in Washington starting with Bush snd Clinton decided to export American jobs to china that started the decline of the American middle class

Only the election of Trump began putting a stop to an unfettered globalist policy

It's like when the coyote goes over the cliff for the 50th time. You know it's coming and there is nothing to add. You just chuckle.

It is very hard to take polls like this from America with any serious credence...

Plain and simple, US doesn't understand these idealologies...

Simple one, Tariffs are against Capitalism, they are protectionist and more akin to the teaching of Marxism..

Another one, When the MAGAs blame the elites.... That is straight from the teachings of Marx...
It is about the Working Class v Ruling class(elites...

MAGA are robbing straight out of Marx Communist manifesto... Yep they are popular (they did run half the world at one point)...

That the support is waining is not surprising as there are far fewer “haves” than “have-nots”. Few people blame themselves and blame others. When you can no longer identify “the other” by name, you move on to concepts and myths (deep state, the swamp, “the left”, “the right”...) and ideologies. Financial systems can’t be far behind once you start down that track.

More correctly though, it has been made very clear--especially in the US--that capitalism is not congruent with what were bedrock community institutions such as newspapers and professional healthcare. When you try to run systems that are in place for the public good as businesses where profit is the only thing that matters...you’re sure to create some form of mis-trust.

I doubt that mis-trust has bubbled up into the poll but it’s likely in the background since most people have either a family member who (or know of someone whom) healthcare has failed on some level. As for newspapers, since many rely on the concierge media and fewer (especially on the right) can stomach having their bubble pierced...those who tell the stories straight suffer.

I can certainly understand that a lot of people aren't going to be interested in macroeconomics, but yeah, it would be nice if they paid more attention.

We've mangled capitalism so badly in the last 40+ years that a reasonable person can't be blamed for looking around. But that's not capitalism's fault. Mixing ideology with economics is not going to turn out well, as we're seeing.
