Yeah, no surprise there. As a nation is systematically dumbed down, there are more imbeciles around who have no clue how they got to live in a land of plenty and one of the safest places on Earth (outside of Democrat hell holes)

Dumbed down.......as in believing forcing taxpayers to bail out failing entities is capitalism?

The headline should read “Stupidity and ignorance about capitalism at an all-time low, mostly within the 18-29 crowd”

Here's an interesting thought. Maybe socialism was never tried with the right people implementing it. I might be willing to try socialism IF Trump was implementing it with MAGA principles. If today's democraps were in charge of implementing it I think I would rather rip my left arm off and beat myself to death with it than live in that ensuing hellhole.

Thats what they say everytime..............if only we had our people doing it....................and it has failed every time. No, I wouldn't want orange man trying it either.

Then why does no one actually practice it?
Everyone knows pure capitalism wouldn't work. Capitalism is just the best, people centered way to solve problems of scarcity, but it's not perfect. Moreover, not all economic problems involve scarcity. And not all problems are purely economic. Capitalism is often not a good way to solve social issues, and often can't. For example, pure capitalism cannot solve the problem of homelessness. OTOH, socialism is not a very good way to solve problems of scarcity and many other economic problems. A balanced mix is often the best solution.

Sadly most people will never acknowledge that despite the facts that is what most countries actually do.

I think many people can understand that, it's just that the American government has almost 250 years of corruption baked in and the people just don't trust the government, and shouldn't at this point. That is why the American people never latched on to mild socialism, like practiced in Europe. If you want people to trust the government to implement more social programs, the voters of both sides are going to have to pressure their politicians to stop being so damn corrupt and actually hold them accountable for results. BOTH SIDES. I say we need 5 new Independent parties who all run on anti-corruption, getting Big Money and their lobbies out of politics, eliminating Citizens United, and throwing corrupt politicians in Guantanamo Bay. Then we can trust the government to implement UHC, free college, and many other socially beneficial programs.
