The same men created products we eat with that thinking. We take it for granted today. It was not so much a century ago and more. As examples, cookies and pastries packaged for sale in stores for consumers is a result of it. It gave the common citizen access to the same things the wealthy have had at an economical price. Technologies expanded from these men. The main thing government did in a lower tax environment is give these men contracts for those same products in the military when we were at war. Especially WW 1 and in between through WW 2.

Rockefeller, Carnegie, Morgan, Vanderbilt all built empires of monopoly where the small capitalist was squeezed out.
