It is remarkable that now Democrats hate high gas prices. Before they wanted higher prices at the pump. To force Americans to buy Electric cars. We explained to them that electric cars have penalties. Cost is one of them. Weight of the batteries is another. Cost to replace the batteries when they are used up is more. I will show you a piece you can read all of it, at Wattsupwiththat.com

gas is still waaaay cheaper that the highs reached during the Biden admin .. Dems did make a squeak about those prices ..

Kamala Harris was just crying somewhere about the price of gas. She was foaming at the mouth filled with hate and of course she got the Trump bashing in and looking like the exorcist…with her bobble head in full force as she slurred those words. 🙄. The room she was in was empty but they did have a pre recording hand clapping for her sorry a$$.

Yeah, they are complaining about paying what we've been paying here in California for years.... and when we mention that Gavin Newsom / democrat policy here it just has fallen on deaf ears.... beause THEY DONT CARE.
If something..anything is connected to Trump however... suddenly inconvenience becomes crisis.

I didn't know the Dems or anybody else ever wanted higher gas prices. The national average in the first 4 months of 2024 was $3.33/gal. The national average with Biden left office was$3.125/gal. Certainly nobody was pleased when the national average shot up to $4.06/gal during and after Covid.

It went to around $5.00/gallon national average with peak pump prices nearing almost $8.00/gallon in some places out West through most of 2022.

And there wasn't even a war nor oil embargo then to blame it on.

I never paid $5.00 for gas, even in 2022, except while skying in Colorado that year, but every time, I have been to that state (summer or winter), gas has always been comparatively high as a kite.
The chart below from Gas Buddy shows why the average that year well below the one month peak and the decline just happens to coincide with world productions of oil finally getting back to pre-Covid levels. Not a matter of war, but world production. You are not doubt aware most 40% of gasoline in this country comes from overseas sources, so no surprise, if domestic and world production were down, gasoline would be higher, and would drop when supplies of crude came back to pre-covid levels.

Oil Production dropped world wide at the end of 2020 along with the world wide Covid epidemic and did not get back to pre-Covid prodution numbers until the summer of 2022

Oil production is only a part of the price calculation.

Very true. Some of the western states (largely Democrat controlled) are known for some of the highest gasoline taxes in the country. Of course, I would not want to forget Pennsylvania and Illinois. Glad I never chose to live in any of those places.

So then you DID pay $5.00 for a gallon of gas. In some places (maybe California?), it went even higher.

Point being is that we have been through worse, a lot worse, and for less obvious apparent reason, and we will get through this too, W6, and if we have to pay a bit more for gas for a while (this is affecting the whole planet), I will consider it little consequence if it can settle Iran and bring peace, security and stability to the Middle East at least for a while, and, lessons learned--- next time a mad militocracy seeking nuclear arms holds its sway over the world oil supply while threatening our death, hopefully it won't take us nearly 50 years to finally wake up and do something about it.

Dems on this board were saying that people complaining about historically high prices reached when the party you voted for was in power made bad life choices .. that's why they were have trouble paying the costs of living under the Biden admin .. they made poor life choices and didn't save enough money to pay for democrat rule ... are you going to delete this post like you did 5 of my posts the other day ?

Quoting prices is not what we are discussing. We are discussing motivation. Biden promised to put an end to using gasoline. And try he did.

Dems like high prices as much as GOPP.
Trump does not like them.

April 24 (Reuters) - President Donald Trump granted a 90-day extension to a shipping waiver that makes it easier to move oil, fuel and fertilizer around the United States, the White House said on Friday, the latest effort to curb rising energy costs linked to the war with Iran.

The move reflects a broader push by the White House to dampen politically sensitive fuel price spikes ahead of November’s midterm elections, where affordability is expected to be a defining issue for voters. Recent polling shows Trump and Republicans losing ground on the economy — once a core political strength — with approval of his economic handling falling sharply and rising gasoline prices weighing heavily on public sentiment.

Don't have enough money.

Get a better job.

This political move will fail at the polls in November.
