How do unions mooch off taxpayers when their funds come from union members? Please explain that to me because no one can explain that. Like most people who bash unions, you have no idea what they do and how they do it.
As a teacher you love it from the heart or get out of it. That was eroded many years ago and replaced with dogmatic propaganda enforced brainwashed rubes who infect the children. Education has turned into day care centers due to it. And it is expensive. With two parent families working and a massive single parent family working. You created this. Just to say this. If we went another way in the past, moms that stayed at home, would have it much easier in that world scenario. And yes, there are flaws and faults in that.
Find a teacher on here who will confirm this for you. I have yet to see any type of indoctrination, brainwashing, or any of this type of behavior you claim exists. Surely you have specific examples from your personal experience to illustrate the problem. Right?
I created nothing....zero. i worked to put my kuds thru college so they hsd a desired degree as i know a good percentage of employers are horrible. You want moms to stay at home im fine with thst. But then you should be HAPPY to pay 2x more for the same exact product made here. Are you willing? And what you want is for people to teach for no pensions and lowrr wages correct?

What about schools where the techers are AFT and not NEA? You do know there is more than one national union, right? Or did that escape your view of the issues?
Goto the ghettos first. Many of the residents would want private schools over public ones. I worked and went to schools in those areas for many years. Nothing has changed as more and more money is poured into them. Poverty has been institutionalized now. A mistrust of whitee is real even if it is not established as true. As for Public school funding, Progressive cities need outside counties, regional, state and federal help to keep going. Like the military//industrial complex we have the poverty/poverty servicing complex now. They even get a cut from new infrastructure and buildings built within the city limits while limiting anything to new in their areas accept renovations to current public areas and newer streets, pavements, playgrounds, gas lines, electric wiring, water lines, etc. The poverty game with social programs is an economy withing our economy and is real. The costs. Oh, the costs. The teachers know it. We see it with videos of the criminal acts. And it is made clear y not enforcing the law. When the money runs dry, like locusts' people will leave those areas and take from anyone they can as they spread out of the cities, out of the suburbs, into the semi-rural area and then finally rural areas. Of course, at which point where those who have weapons defend themselves from the onslaught. I'm thinking the semi-rural areas will be the stop line of defense. Rural areas will create new mountains of the dead from the cities.
That’s why my focus was on the NEA. But, any union that is more focused on DEI at the expense of STEM or a union on strike that discourages parents from having their kids do online learning or home schooling is a corrupt union.
I have no issue with paying teachers more, I have an issue with teachers teaching their ideology to students, that is not what they are paid for and it happens a lot more than you seem to realize. The school I attended had teachers that pushed their agendas, so were my kids and my grandkids. Teachers recruiting us to push parents to vote yes on levies, teachers claiming that the death penalty was murder, involving students in teacher’s contracts to pressure kids to go home and talk to their parents about what they perceived were poor work conditions.
So you made a choice, okay.
What does that have to do with teahers'unions? I taught three years in an inner-city school. The problem is t g e kids there are not the best society can provide. Poor, no parent involvement, immigrants, language barriers, etc.
That is not the purpose of a union in any way.
I belong to a carpenters union and we certainly back candidates that advance liberal policies.
