Pence epitomized that prior to January 6. His team was busy boxing up and cataloging papers to send to the national archives. He even assigned someone to oversee the entire process and make sure nothing was left out. I didn’t offer any criticism of efforts to make sure that (post 9/11) our law enforcement and our intelligence agencies be allowed to coordinate. I also never objected to warrantless wiretaps being used for security purposes as opposed to using them for criminal prosecutions.
