"The Pittsburgh Steelers had been asking James Harrison to take a pay cut for a while now. When the team spoke to his agent on Friday and no progress was made, it seemed only a matter of time before he'd be cut.

Harrison tweeted Saturday morning that time has come.

"It's been a great run but all good things must come to a end," Harrison wrote. "Thank you Steelers Nation I will miss you all!"
