The poll question is clear based on the democrats call to "defund the police" because of "systemic racism".That is a poor poll question. All it says is that cops are not the cause of systemic racism, that is merely an opinion question. So I vote "does not apply."

However, there is a big difference between unjustified police brutality and necessary force. I'm actually surprised that so many cops still don't get it. They are being monitored closely, and if they cross the line, they will be prosecuted.
You need to factor in that in 2020 421 cops were killed on duty. Taking on criminals is very dangerous work. I know that I would be a very strict cop if my life was on the line all day, every day.

Bad cops need to be fired, totally agree. That said, I totally support the job cops do every day. The recent Ohio shooting of a knife wielding girl shows how split-second life-and-death decisions happen every day.
