So I started my diet the other day, and no, it is not cheaper to eat healthy. I've given up pop, bread, pasta, and sweets. To get my caffeine I drink Crystal Light with caffeine, because I can't stand coffee. I eat non-fat yogurt with a scoop of protein powder in it and granola for breakfast. Lunch is a pouch of flavored tuna or a salad with chunks of chicken in it. Snacks are usually a Muscle Milk protein shake, or a protein shake made with almond milk. Snacks can also be a box of craisins or raisins, or if I get a sweet tooth I'll eat a banana with some Omega-3 peanut butter on it. Dinner is a chicken breast and some steamed vegetables, usually broccoli and cauliflower. I use omega oil butter on my vegetables and less salt than I usually do. I still use some salt because it helps me retain water and avoid cramps.
The down side is, now my pee smells like burnt coffee...
A week's worth of food and drinks ran about $150...when if I eat junk foods I could eat off of that much in a month.
