They gonna revamp Spirit with this…

Or just a really shitty airline that no one likes using.

Spirit airlines is rather notorious for its…uh….experience:
.

Don't despair!

Continuing with Trump's egomaniacal tradition of renaming things after himself, Spirit Airlines will henceforth be known as Trump Airlines.

.

Oh wait...

.

Let's just pretend that Obama never bailed out the U.S. auto makers and only Trump is now guilty 1000x over. How many people can we fool? Let's try it! 🤪

Maybe he can rename it TDS Air, and keep all the DEI hires to cater to folks like you.

Bailing out the automakers was good policy. Millions of jobs would have been lost if we hadn't.

There's really no good reason to bail out Frontier Airlines, which has consistently low ratings.

Our system is to socialize risk and capitaize gain.

No wonder they take such ridiculous risks.

Private profits, public losses. It's government picking winners and losers. All the things conservatives are supposed to hate.

Even better, as part of the bailout, the US government is getting stock in the company and a say in how it's run. This is the very definition of "socialism": The government owning or controlling the means of production.

I feel like I fell asleep and woke up in George Orwell's 1984, for real.

Airline failures are usually the first sign of a recession.
Good point, this is why Spirit was forced into chapter 11 bankruptcy in 2024.

Things thankfully turned around for the rest of the exonomy but they’ll struggled to get out cause the damage was done leading to their declaration

The remarks came amid talks of a potential financial bailout involving a reported $500 million loan aimed at preserving thousands of American jobs and maintaining a budget-friendly competitor in the airfare industry.

"It's in a bankruptcy," Trump said. "It's in bankruptcy court. And we're looking if we could get it for the right price, I'd do it to save jobs."

Spirit Airlines has faced years of mounting financial challenges that have been pushing the company toward potential liquidation, including multiple Chapter 11 bankruptcy filings, failed merger attempts with other low-cost competitors, and rising operation costs driven in part by surging jet fuel prices linked to the conflict involving Iran.

Barack Obama, however, cannot claim full credit for this outcome. According to several experts, he needs to share it with his predecessor, President George W. Bush. Dr. James Rubenstein at Miami University co-wrote a post-bankruptcy assessment for the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. Rubenstein said no one should overlook the importance of Bush’s decision to use $17.6 billion in TARP money in December 2008 to keep General Motors and Chrysler afloat.

"The Bush Administration provided short-term bridge loans," Rubenstein said. "That allowed the Obama Administration to take a couple of months to assess the situation."

Aaron Bragman, the lead American automotive analyst for the financial forecasting group IHS Automotive, echoed the point. "The Bush administration is the one that actually acted to save them from an uncontrolled bankruptcy and shutdown," Bragman said. "The Obama administration's role was to fix them."

Economy was fine in 2024, stupid.

It's a complete mess now.
