I wonder if Vegas has odds on the steal.
How does a govt issued voter picture ID at the polling place stop cheating? The Left hates the ideal of voter ID because they want to cheat.
You're responding to a moron who supports this dickhead:pratt is just going to eat his dick.
Everyone knows that.
/——/ Great question. How does a govt issued voter picture ID at the polling place stop cheating?
In person voter fraud is a felony, and does not occur.....and never did...../——/ Great question.
In-Person Voter Impersonation: In jurisdictions without photo ID requirements, a person checking in to vote often only needs to state a name and address listed on the public voter rolls and provide a signature. A photo ID ensures that the individual standing at the counter is visually the exact same person listed in the poll book, preventing someone from voting under a neighbor’s, family member's, or stranger's name.
Double Voting Across Jurisdictions: If an individual is illegally registered in multiple precincts or counties (common for people who own secondary properties or move frequently), requiring a localized state ID or driver's license makes it significantly more difficult to vote in person at multiple locations on Election Day.
Organizing a widespread, coordinated effort to swing an election via in-person impersonation is incredibly difficult. Without ID laws, a bad actor only needs a list of names. With strict photo ID laws, that same bad actor would have to manufacture or obtain high-quality counterfeit government documents for dozens or hundreds of individuals—turning a low-level infraction into a high-stakes federal and state felony with a clear paper trail.
Summary
In short, a government-issued photo ID stops cheating by adding a visual, verifiable biometric check (the face matching the document) and a legal hurdle at the exact moment a ballot is issued. Whether that hurdle is viewed as a necessary security shield or an unnecessary barrier depends heavily on how a policymaker balances the goals of maximize-security versus maximize-access.

The risks of being caught in person, voting in your neighbor's place, or cousin, brother or mother's, or a stranger's place, is too great. Someone who knows the stranger or family you are voting for could be standing behind you in line and will hear you use their friend's name and address when checking in.
Your family or stranger being defrauded of their vote by you, might have already voted, and you are caught,
or might be the son of the old lady checking you in...
It truly does not happen....and we don't have hordes or even a few citizens filing complaints that someone voted in their place at the polls.
----------
An ID at the polling spot does not stop or hinder voting in two states, one in person, one by absentee if they're registered to vote in both states.
-----------
What list of names? How many fraudsters can you get to go in to however many different polling places and commit a voter fraud felony, and risk voting in someone else's place to affect an election? Just one of those thousands that you would need to steal the identity of another and affect an election gets caught and squeals the whole operation comes down....
In person voter fraud, truly is not and as said, never has been a problem.
So now ask yourself, why oh why do republicans want to make citizens,go through these hurdles now, in order for them to exercise their constitutional right to vote? To keep them from voting? To force us in to a National ID?
Around 27 million American citizens live their lives without a government issued pictured ID is what I read.....
I have no idea how they do it??? But they do!!! Even in today's world!
Give us a example of this in LARepublicans love whining about things and blaming them on government, then standing right in the way of measures taken by the government to address the problem.
/—-/ Pointing out the democRATs disasters like LA isn’t whining. It’s stating facts. And what has government done to address that problem?Republicans love whining about things and blaming them on government, then standing right in the way of measures taken by the government to address the problem.
