Someone explain the supposedly 30,000 ventilators for New York?

I'm asking a simple question... Is the WHO right or wrong regarding 1 of 7 Covid-19 cases require hospitalization and of those 5% require ventilators.
You all do the math 615,519 cases divided by 7 equals 87,931 hospitalized and 5% of those or 4,397 require ventilators. Where is that math incorrect?
Is your point that we don't need more ventilators?

The point is the math and the WHO indicates that Coumo's needs of 30,000 ventilators is questionable.
I don't know. I simply am pointing out the ambiguity of the vast numbers of ventilators and the WHO's statistics. Which is correct?
It's beyond question that Cuomo needs more ventilators.

NY hospitals are CURRENTLY putting two or more people on one vent because there is a shortage

And the number of cases is INCREASING

How did that ventilator shortage turn out.

They didn’t need them...so that’s a good thing, right?
