Interesting.

Conveniently they left the part about the 120 trillion unfunded liability out. I wonder why that is...

I suppose, children being enslaved to that amount of debt is not a "fun fact", but a "hate fact", indeed.

Future Social Security and Medicare payments are unfunded liabilities, and other than not being publicly traded are no different than the national debt.

I think we all want to go back to the Depression era don't we?

There is no surplus in Social Security. Politicians started stealing the money as soon as it was enacted until finally LBJ made it official that Social Security taxes would be dumped into the "general fund".

In 1935 the Republicans said that Social Security would lead America into communism.
Is America still sweating that communist thing out, or are we safe now? My grandmother didn't want to cash her checks for fear of being a communist.

Many of us will pay $0.25-$1.0mil during work years (40-50 years). Including employer match.

We may get back $2000/mo at age 62 till death, $2500/mo at age 68?. Avg payout is closer to $1000/mo I believe. They don't mind if you die early.

If u take early you would have $120K in-hand by the time your $500/mo increase would start. So you break even ~15 years out? If you take early i hear it affects how much you could make at a job? Huh?
