So, What Was The Bottom Line To The Chat Group Security Flub?

Blithely dismissing this egregious display of incompetence as, essentially, of no consequence is a line that diehard Trumpers may swallow, but anyone who understands the vital need for national security isn't buying it.

..."There are people whose lives are literally on the line, whether that's service personnel, whether that's intelligence personnel," Michael Williams, an expert on international relations and a professor at Syracuse University, told Military.com in an interview Tuesday. "These guys are supposed to be leaders of the free world, the responsible leaders of the military, the greatest country in the world, and they can't perform basic operational security."..

Experts who spoke with Military.com on Tuesday said it's highly unlikely that operational details at the level Goldberg described would not be classified. And, they added, sharing the information outside of classified systems is incredibly irresponsible.

"It's an extraordinary departure from how we deal with classified information," Eric Carpenter, a law professor at the Florida International University College of Law and a former Army judge advocate, told Military.com in a phone interview Tuesday.

Carpenter added that, if a service member were to do something similar, they would be facing a court-martial.[/url]

A national security insider explains what counts as a war plan and why top officials don’t even need Signal.
My initial reaction was: This is completely insane. A, I can’t believe they are doing all of this on Signal, and B, even more remarkable, I can’t believe they added Jeffrey Goldberg. Both in terms of the level of sensitivity of information that was on that discussion, but also part of the reason that you don’t do things like that on Signal is precisely because of user error. We’ve all added the wrong person to a chat at some point. But there are systems in place where I can never accidentally email this to Jeffrey Goldberg, because if I was on a classified system sending an email to this group of people, his email would never pop up because he would never have access. The whole thing was just jaw-dropping.
You forgot to post the pictures from Biden's garage and other places, where he stole documents for decades.

Despite all the propaganda the goobers spewed, they were unable to concoct credible evidence to bring any actual charges against Joe Biden, so it doesn't even serve as a desperate diversion.

LOL. That's because the fix was in, don't you remember? If it went to court Biden would present himself as likable old man with memory issues who a jury would not convict due to those reasons, so, they decided not to prosecute.

Just like DeVos and McMahon, neither has "educational' experience, but were awarded one of the highest educational positions in the USA.
WHY?

Pure Loyalty, and that is no way to run a Country.

I see lefty after lefty after lefty hyping this up for political reasons like some really awful thing. Yes, it was indeed a flub and should be learned from. Took me by surprise that we even have a group chat over a national security thing as important as this was.

But, what was really the bottom line of it all? Did it mess up our attack plans? No.

Did it expose classifed security to our enemies? Doesn't seem to have. As I understand it, the info was accidentally texted to a US reporter and, to the best of my knowledge, he did nothing nefarious with the information which would be traitorous to our country, therefore none of the flub had anything to do with anything detrimental to our country.

Yes, it was careless, just as Hillary Clinton's email server in her basement which could easily be hacked by our enemies was labeled extremely careless.

But, to the best of my knowledge, this is all a huge nothingburger being used as political ammo against Trump that does need to be fixed.

I'm in education, And I know there are more highly people to lead the Department of Education, other than McMahon or DeVos, but I certainly don't know the names of all these highly qualified individuals.

It's obvious that Hegseth is not qualified, but I don't know the names of MANY highly qualified Military Members.

In November, when trump was elected, did you think, yeah, when trump fills the Sec of Defense, he has to consider Hegseth, because Hegseth is definitely the most qualified.

Fair enough....probably NOT.

That explains everything.

Dont practice your lying lib ways on me

I have said Greenberg should have alerted the white house privately for corrective action

So you want the white house to cover it up, which is what I said.

You really think that Hegseth is the Best and Highest Qualified candidate?

Do you know of a better person for the job?

So you think there can't possibly be someone more qualified than a alcoholic fox news host, who has zero experience running a major agency, much less the entire military?

You cant have it both ways

If the text conference was a breech of security then publicizing it in the Atlantic was a breech also

Revealing a breach isn't a breach. If it was, Goldberg would be under arrest right now.
