I see lefty after lefty after lefty hyping this up for political reasons like some really awful thing. Yes, it was indeed a flub and should be learned from. Took me by surprise that we even have a group chat over a national security thing as important as this was.
But, what was really the bottom line of it all? Did it mess up our attack plans? No.
Did it expose classifed security to our enemies? Doesn't seem to have. As I understand it, the info was accidentally texted to a US reporter and, to the best of my knowledge, he did nothing nefarious with the information which would be traitorous to our country, therefore none of the flub had anything to do with anything detrimental to our country.
Yes, it was careless, just as Hillary Clinton's email server in her basement which could easily be hacked by our enemies was labeled extremely careless.
But, to the best of my knowledge, this is all a huge nothingburger being used as political ammo against Trump that does need to be fixed.
Oh, this is a layer cake of incompetence, corruption, naked idiocy, criminality, and frantic, desperate cocksucking.
First, the actual communications themselves on Signal. Holy shit. Conservatives lost their fucking shit for
years over the
possibility that someone
might have hacked Hillary's Email, as it was unsecured. Literal years of frantic panty shitting, weeping, wailing and gnashing their teeth. Lamenting about how 'no one is above the law'. Claims that we'd 'lose the confidence of allies'.
And this gem, as clear a demonstration that republicans don't give the fiddler's fuck about anything they babbled about. Pete in particular, a rank amateur who is clearly out of his depth, waxed eloquent in outrage at how DARE Hillary use unsecured communications when he was a professional MAGA mouthpiece on FOX. And then they discuss actual military planning on an unsecure line via a method of communication Russia is
known to have attacked and attempted to infiltrate.
Pure, dipshit incompetence with all the security of a facebook messager group chat. And every last one of them knew better.
Second.....adding an Atlantic Reporter to the group chat. What the actual fuck? What in the fuck were they thinking? This was carelessness and recklessness for active, live military operations with live ammunition. And these blithering, mouth breathing idiots invite a reporter to just watch the planning in real time? Where they reveal what they are going to attack, with what, in what sequence, and even out the name of CIA assets?
Again, YEARS of hysterics about Hillary's Email server on the mere POSSIBILITY that classified information could have been released. And here was have the absolute reality of it, on time sensitive military actions.
Pure, dipshit incompetence.
Third.......destroying records. The Signal messages were purposefully set to disappear after a week, a startling and intentional destruction of official government communications. They are intentionally, purposefully, and with care attempting to violate federal law to keep their communications from the American people.
And there is 0% chance that this is the first thing they've ever discussed, or that there aren't other important communications that they are trying to hide from American people in violation of federal law.
Fourth.......the dipshit denials. Again, we've got the Pete the Village Idiot, insisting that there was no war planning despite the National Security Council ALREADY confirming it happened. And of course, we got the standard MAGA 'head-down, ass-up' victim playbook where they start babbling about 'russian hoaxes', insulting the reporter, insulting the publications, and throwing snowflake tantrums.
All on shit that was
already confirmed. Even their denials are demonstrations of their naked incompetence, the amateur-hour fumbling by unqualified hacks that are weakening our national security with their blithering idiocy. They can't even LIE with any competence. This from a man that already said that sharing classified information on non-secure channels was offense worthy of getting fired immediately.
But not
him, of course. MAGA never applies their own standard to themselves.
Fifth.......the desperate cocksucking. With MAGA apologists coming out of the wood work to try polish this fetid, runny turd of incompetent, disphsit nonsense. Telling us that it didn't happen. Okay, it did happen, but it wasn't serious. Okay, it was serious, but it doesn't matter. Okay, it does matter, but Russian Hoax!
The desperation, the olympic level hypocrisy, the frantic turd polishing, its all so hilarious to watch. And demonstrate more elegantly than any critque of this dumpster fire of an administration that these hapless fools doesn't believe any of their own bullshit.
