I’m thinking you have never held a management level job. If you had you would understand the meetings just for meetings part. Most times there is little new to discuss but the meeting itself is the point of your job. No matter what a waste of time it was.

What Crepitus fails to understand is that president's daily briefing is the name that the intelligence community came up with. Frequent access to the president is a precious commodity in washington to be doled out only by the president or his senior staff.
