So Climatechangevangelistas... if global warming was caused by fossil fuels what damage are wind turbines?

You’re fucking nuts
Prove that wind turbines use less concrete. Furst add up the total wind turbines installed in the last 50 years. Figure out how many tons of concrete those 100 000 plus wind turbines consumed. Then compare that to the 104 nuclear power plants

Why do you think the price of renewabkes is so extreme. It is because they consume all the natural resources by the billions of tons

Compare it to 104 nuke plants (that’s a lot of concrete right there) AND whatever number of fossil fuel plants

.01% is the amount used by nukes compared to wind turbines

Now if you could install enough wind turbines to equal the few nuke plants we have then the amount of concrete used by wind turbines increases by a magnitude of 100,000

So, tell me how much concrete is used building a footer for a wind turbine, vs an entire concrete nuclear facility.

Common sense would say a whole lot less.

$300 trillion is needed to stop global warming, and that’s a bargain

You’re claiming more concrete is used to build wind turbines than fossil fuel plants and nuke plants?

You’re really that stupid?
Lesh, it is about energy density. Nuclear power is so fucking powerful it has a tiny footprint. Miniscule.

Wind Turbines energy density is insignificant. Hence the trillion dollar price tag and the countless wind turbines that must be built.

What exactly do you think that $300 trillion is being spent on?

They change the temperature, at the surface, no different than citrus farmers using fans to prevent freezing.

That is the answet,
My point was OP remarking about it’s contribution global warming, which isn’t true.

.01 % of the amount used by wind turbines.

Concrete is made with coal
Fossil fuels remain indispensable for producing all of these materials.

Some 85% of all plastics are based on simple molecules derived from natural gas and crude oil, and hydrocarbons also supply energy for syntheses
The world now produces annually about :
  • 4.5 billion tons of cement,
  • 1.8 billion tons of steel,
  • nearly 400 million tons of plastics, and
  • 180 million tons of ammonia.

Of course there is. Do the math.
Current wind-turbine tower installation involves pouring a large concrete footing at the base of each 300-foot tower. The footings are 9 feet thick and 60 feet in diameter and require
30 to 40 truckloads of concrete – about 300 cubic yards.
Now if Biden's guarantee comes true:
"I guarantee We Are Going To Get Rid of Fossil Fuels” September 06, 2019,

WE will pay $1,275,495,900,000 either directly or indirectly to companies' goods and services we buy.

Coming from you that is RICH.

Nuclear power has a tiny footprint because it's only waste products are spent fuel and hot water.

As they get larger and larger, their density increases. A new 17MW turbine has almost the same land usage as one putting out 3 MW.

What do YOU think its being spent on? A great deal more than just wind turbines.

Crick, the energy density of wind is miniscule. Bigger wind turbines do not change the facts.

What is a fact is today I am working on a Fusion reactor for MIT
