Florida: tree cactus becomes first local species killed off by sea-level rise

I know it stopped growing in my yard because I put brine on it.

Rock salt and mixed up in a bucket and left overnight. Don't worry Tommy,

there's plenty more of those things around for you to go fuck yourself with! :D

I know where 5 are right now.

Partisan hacks, being an expert doesn't make you impartial in these things.

Are these islands volcanic? if not, they lose land regardless of any sea level rise.

The scientific ignorance of the left is truly shocking.

It makes them easy targets for con artists like Al Gore and Barack Obama.

Pretty sure they're coral islands down that way, maybe some Mangroves, too.

Definitely not volcanic. Dadgummit, trying to find out but got distracted by this:

Oh, that's a BEAUTY!

Back to what the islands are made of: Coral and limestone and eroded coral.

Very sad. RIP
Killed by mans stupidity and ignorance..
What will be next on conservatisms death list ? Gods will I suppose ?

Check your citations ... NASA does NOT claim sea levels will rise by 7 feet ... follow that link and towards the end we have "... Key West could experience between 0.45 and 2.16 meters (1 and 7 feet) of sea level rise by 2100." ...

80,000 people live on the Keys ... with MILLIONS visiting every year ... why would you think 1/8 inch per year sea level rise is the problem? ... here's an actual scientific paper where actual mathematical calculations were preformed and we'll see only 22 inches sea level rise by Year 2100 ...

The Guardian lies ... the ecological problems in the Florida Keys has far more to do with human poop than global warming ... 80,000 piles of shit everyday, 30 million piles of shit every year ... two and a quarter BILLION piles of shit by Year 2100 ... not including visitors, they're mostly constipated anyway ...

Only your ignorance, Tommy, 80,000 folks are much much smarter than you ... they poop in the Florida Keys, and you don't ...

Poop and fertilizer runoff causes Red Tide blooms.

Dude, there's patches of that stuff out in the wild all over everywhere. The Guardian don't know.

They haven't checked out all the preserves and wilderness down there. There's places down there man hasn't been

in decades.
The article mentions its similarity to a similar bush. You are mistaken.

So they propagate it from the sheltered ones and reintroduce it in more favorable locations. Man hasn't destroyed this plant; man has saved this plant from extinction.

... and pumping all the drinking water out of the ground makes the ground sink ... and it fills in with salt water ...

80,000 people is like a top-ten community in the Pacific Northwest ... three times the size of Alaska's capital city ... that's a lot of poop ...
