How can they have water to landscape but no water to put out a fire?

Winds prolong fire risk as investigators probe electric tower as possible origin of Eaton fire

There have been at least 24 deaths and more than 12,000 structures damaged or destroyed in the L.A.-area fires. After a day of progress in containing the Eaton and Palisades fires, crews are bracing for several days of winds that could hamper efforts to contain the firestorms.

‘Angry’ Locals Want to Know Where Tax Dollars Went as Fires Destroy Los Angeles

12 Jan 2025 ~~ By Amy Furr

Los Angeles residents angered by local officials’ response to the fires devastating their communities are now questioning how their tax dollars are being used, a researcher told Fox News.
Kristian Fors, a Los Angeles County resident and research fellow at the California-based Independent Institute, told the outlet on Sunday that Californians assume their leaders will fix problems that arise, Fox News reported.

The death toll from the wildfires that are leaving the Los Angeles area in ashes rose to 16 on Sunday, according to Breitbart News.
In addition, “Some 150,000 people in Los Angeles County are now under evacuation orders with another 700-plus people taking refuge in nine shelters,” the article said.

It is important to note that Los Angeles residents are demanding Mayor Karen Bass (D) be immediately recalled “due to her gross mismanagement and failure to effectively respond to the devastating 2025 fires in and around the city of Los Angeles,” they said in a petition that has reached 99,649 signatures, Breitbart News reported Saturday.

Commentary:
Los Angelinos and Californians in general are getting angrier as each day the fires continue and the death toll rises.
They 're now questioning where all the money they've paid in taxes to their city and state have gone. Anyone who believes their tax dollars in Los Angeles are primarily used to help them needs serious counseling for mental illness.
Lobotomy may be the only known cure for them.
Welcome to one of the many predictable results of electing the people you elect--over, and over, and over again.
The only "climate change" taking place in L.A., is a change in the Political climate.
Voting Democrat and expecting services and honesty?
Sometimes it takes a truly traumatic experience to make people re-evaluate their trust.

Well, what did you expect? Those that are rushing to point fingers and make wild unsupported accusations are just doing what they always do. I suspect they are much more interested in making a spectacle of their half-baked accusations than they are about finding what actually happened. It's what overbearing childish ass holes do.

While it's important to know how the fires started, the bigger issue is with what Newsom did to help prevent fires from spreading. What did Newsom learn from previous fires and what new measures did he put in place? What additional water sources have been constructed? How was funding being spent on fire mitigation?

The number one job of politicians is to keep their constituents safe. Let's be blunt here. It doesn't matter whether there is a D or an R or an I after your name! Your job is to make sure there IS water in the hydrants so your Fire Department can do their job! The failure to do so if it was a choice is border line criminal. People are dying because bad choices were made. That's on Bass...that's on Newsome.

It is the preparation and execution of the Democrat controlled govt's response that is in question. They failed the citizens horribly.

should the leftist greenies have prevented the underbrush to be removed ? should they have diverted water to protect a minnow that lives in other areas other than CA ? should they have fired hundreds of fire fighters that refused the jab ? all of these things happened .. but you will deflect and claim they didn't because you're a brainwashed member of the leftwing cult ..

I am noticing that these fires seem to be starting in the trails in the hills, upwind of populated areas.

Makes one wonder if these are not deliberate acts by some kind of eco-terrorists.

Here are pictures of the Grenada Hills (Archer) fire which started and was extinguished today...

Looks like arson is a cause.

Is this arsonist here illegally like the last arsonist is?

Why is no one concerned about the ignition source of these fires? Most news outlets report the fires were caused by drought and high winds. That is not a source of ignition.

This rare article says that wildfires normally start from lightning, power lines, or acts of arson...

In this case, there was no lighting, and no utilities reported down lines causing a fire, so that leaves arson.

Why is no one concerned about this???
Because the arsonists they have caught so far have Spanish names and are here illegally.

It would be completely unsurprising if the real root cause of most of the fires is Biden's open border and California's sanctuary status.

The first illegal alien arsonist was out on probation for a felony!

Most of the people who lost homes voted for this, even though they would say they didn't ("that's not my kind of Democratic Socialism"). I wonder if they will now be supportive of Trump fixing this? He's going to do his best do it.
