Your math doesn't work. Back whem minimum wage was $1.25 (1963-67) average price for a home was 19,000.
Now in 2025 with minimum wage at $7.25 average home price is $500,000.
And it's the same with groceries, and gas, and insurance, and rents, and daycare, and everything else.
As you can see, trying to talk anout today's situation as if we were still stuck in 1965 is ludicrous.
What we are witnessing are the final stages of the collapse of our capitalistic financial system. All of these signs and symptoms of it's demise are very predictable and we are just experiencing what happens once capitalism has finally cannibalized itself fully.
