My daughter in law’s mother gets snap. She’s 73 and a cancer survivor. Her social security is minimal because she was a stay at home mom for most of her life (now divorced). Without Snap she’s gonna be living on baloney sandwiches at best

And no. She’s not black

Elderly are different. The problem is with young women refusing to take a job - even a part-time one - and just feel entitled to get food paid for by people who DO work.

Me too. When I was first starting out, I remember deliberating whether to buy a tomato to add to my tuna sandwich, and going with a 50-call maximum (per month) phone plan because it was half the price of a limitless plan.

I’m fine with taxpayers paying for innocent children.

What I object to are able-bodied women in their 20s and 30s who refuse to get even a part-time job. They need to pitch in for their own support and not just shirk it off entirely to working taxpayers.

Unless they have kids, they do not get SNAP. Able-bodied people with no dependents are not eligible for SNAP any longer. Thanks to the OBBB. They have to be working, going to school, or in a job training program.

I never said there aren’t instances where SNAP is warranted, temporarily.

But can you admit that the system is abused, with families on it for decades because they keep having children they can’t afford, and the baby daddies are not made to pitch in?

And can you also admit that there is a terrible sense of entitlement among them? That they get pregnant knowing they can’t afford to feed the ones they have, and just take for granted that taxpayers will just fork over more money?

You can bet they developed the entitlement attitude from the Democrats who sold them the idea that they are OWED.
