They haven't been granted asylum. At best they have been admitted en-masse knowing they do not qualify; at worst they are simply criminals and future terrorists waiting to commit crimes. Asylum is a process and the only "asylum seekers" who qualify for asylum in the USA under international law are those from Mexico, Canada and perhaps Haiti. Asylum seekers are bound to go to the NEAREST safe country for protection, the can't cherry pick their destination. Biden admitted them to sway the census for political power.

The ones "here for years" all have deportation orders filed against them by the courts for either being no-shows or failing to make their cases for residency. The citizens have been released upon proof of citizenship. Most are probably like you, refusing to cooperate in proving their identities.

They haven't been granted asylum because they haven't gotten a hearing. Because the last time Trump and Human Reptile Steven Miller were in, they dismantled the system for processing these cases.

Most of these people would be granted asylum if they got hearings.

Taper off benefits so they find work.

We had Longrats, LOL, I ate a package of chili one day and I guess my belly made so much noise that night that the CO told me I couldn't eat that meal anymore. Dehydrated beans don't soften very well.
