Not enough coverage of this, Ric Grenell is a great American, what is more patriotic than going to another nation, a hostile one at that; and getting his fellow countrymen returned from a hostage situation? Trump reminds me of George Bush Sr. or even a Reagan in which they would be excessively protective of their American citizens. Those who dared to hurt an American knew there would be consequences. That is an important role of elected government.

Grenell made an interesting comment in his interview with Megan Kelly among a few interesting stories during. He showed a photo of one of the Americans who had been moved with a hood on his head and didn't even know what was going to happen to him. Grenell and his team walked up to then, not waiting for them to be delivered and told the man, "I'm an American diplomat, get on the plane we are headed back to America" or whatever he said.

Here is the key point. One man just looked at him and gave him a big hug, probably more relieved than ever in his life. Grenell said something to Kelly I thought was important, he said "in my professional life I am not very emotional, but in my personal life when I am around nieces and nephews I am a big softie". Grenell in that moment was a human being and he loved doing this work.

I think all good men are this way. Soldiers in their own manner of speaking. When it hits the fan, you face the fire and just get the job done, whether it's as a garbageman, a soldier or in corporate sales. However, when you have the moment to just be a human being, your true essence, show compassion and love of humanity. It's that non-monetary reward that sinks into the soul, revives and renews it.

Obviously Trump probably saw some of this in Grenell and maybe a bit of himself in Ric. Be strong in the face of bullies, but compassionate of the plight of the vulnerable and defenseless. Be their protector, not their oppressor.

Six Americans who had been detained in Venezuela are heading home to the US, President Donald Trump announced Friday, after his envoy met with the country’s President Nicolás Maduro.

The meeting in Caracas, first reported by CNN, was notable given Washington does not officially recognize the presidency of Maduro – who opposition leaders in Venezuela have accused of stealing last year’s elections.

US officials have not yet given details of the six detainees released, but Trump’s envoy for special missions Richard Grenell posted a picture on X of himself with the men aboard a plane.

“I’ve just been informed that we are bringing six hostages home from Venezuela,” Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social. “Thank you to Ric Grenell and my entire staff. Great job!”

Grenell’s picture shows four of the released Americans wearing light blue outfits commonly worn by people held in the Venezuelan prison system.

“We are wheels up and headed home with these six American citizens. They just spoke to President Trump, and they couldn’t stop thanking him,” Grenell wrote in his post.

Try zero coverage.

All you will hear are Hitler rantings about King Trump

That is all you will hear the next 4 years, unless they try to assassinate him again.

This is a story that the Lame Stream Media is burying, much like Trump's successful whacking of ISIS thugs hanging out in Somalia.

Every day sees more tremendous success.
