I see what you are getting at, but there has to be some context.


Yes, the pussification of America is spiraling into a heaping wreck. People quitting things because they were "misgendered" or were offended is something that is laughable and wrong.

But again I make my point that quitting an event that requires 100% mental acuity because you are not right mentally at that point is not a crime.

1) I raised two children, spent countless hours of guidance, talking things out etc. and today they literally save lives for a living. My son is a respiratory specialist, and my daughter is a respiratory therapist at a major trauma hospital. They do more important things in a single day than she will ever do in her entire life.
2) I have ran a successful business that employed, at it's height, 43 people. All full time with benefits. As a company we supported 13 different charitable organizations in the six figures per year.
3) I saved a persons life directly via my actions at the moment of an accident
4) I found over $100,000 that, unbeknownst to me, was stolen. I turned the money in. It was all cash, all $100 bills and smaller. Wads of cash.
5) I can go on....

She is a tremendous athlete. But to say that is more important than what many unknown people do is absurd,

She’s a great athlete, but not a great competitor . She let the team down, but I’m sure she’ll tons of praise for her “courage”.

All or any of which will be remembered for maybe one generation after you pass. What this young person has already accomplished will go down in the annals of Olympic history for as long as such records are kept. More 'important' than saving someone from a car accident? Of course not, but certainly merits more than crapping on her for this one choice one time to prioritize her own mental health. If there was less of a stigma attached to doing so, perhaps we'd have fewer people running amok shooting everyone in sight.
