We should bail them out, and then cut out the restrictions we've forced on their economy so they can pay us back. For example if Puerto Rico buys some material from England, they don't just pay to have it delivered to Puerto Rico. No they have to pay for it to be shipped to the U.S. mainland, processed, and then shipped from the mainland to the island. What the hell is that?Philosophically, the answer should be no. But politically, are we going to let States (and Puerto Rico) fall into insolvency? This is a huge issue that has largely fallen under the radar screen. What do you think?
No, PR won't make up its mind to become a state and states like NY, CA and IL are simply victims of their own corruption.Philosophically, the answer should be no. Ummmm.... Let me think. Forcing some life long resident of North Dakota to help pay for the mistakes and corruption of Califorina, a state he/she has never even visited... Yup, sounds pretty fair, let's get on that right away.Philosophically, the answer should be no. But politically, are we going to let States (and Puerto Rico) fall into insolvency? Yes let them collapse. Says a man who knows nothing about Puerto Rico or the U.S.'s relationship with them.Philosophically, the answer should be no. Let them collapse...the only way most people learn about socialism is when you allow them to experience it first hand......the economic collapse of socialist states will be a good, hard lesson for people.
