CDZ Should these be a right for every American citizen?

What you don't want to admit is that a 'family' is a whole Christian community. Anyway. That is not thread about Christianity.

I understand your concerns. Welfare system in the hands of politicians and bureaucrats can become the source of corruption, political bribery etc. I don't support massive welfare programs, benefits being paid to healthy 30-40 years olds etc.

But there should be some social programs if a society wants to be more or less 'civilised'. School meals, emergency treatment, help to disabled, care for single elderly people in their late age.

You should pay your bills and I will pay mine.

It is uncivilized for the government to forcefully take the money that I have worked hard to earn and then give it to somebody that didn't earn it.

You are uneducatable. Social spending by the government is always wrong. It always causes the fall of democracies which are always followed by tyranny.
Yes, but war spending and corporate cronyism is WONDERFUL!!!

You do know what Fascism is right? Benito?

The problem you have is you see social spending as unconstitutional, but government spending on war an corporate welfare is just fine. You haven’t studied history to know how this approach has failed every time.

Your problem is that you define a wealth-creator being allowed to keep what it has rightfully produced, rather than being taken away and given to those who did nothing to produce it, as “welfare”, and condemn that; as an excuse for defending other instances of “welfare” which also consist of taking wealth from those who rightfully produced and earned it, to be given to those who did not.

Your use of the word “welfare” is a clear example of Orwellian doublethink.

War spending and support for national industry are authorized government actions. HUD housing is not. No wonder we are in the dire straits that we are in.

People serving life for homicide are great sinners, but they are human. Thus they are treated humanely in Canada and West Europe.

At some point of falling into evil behavior, one forfeits one's humanity. I cannot claim to know exactly where this line is, but when one commits the act of intentionally murdering another human being, in the absence of serious mitigating circumstances, then one has absolutely crossed that line and no longer deserved to be considered human.

Lol. I never used the word welfare. Are you a Fascists too?

Strange how those words are never said about the massive spending by government on the war machine and corporatewelfare.

Absurd…but massive corporate welfare and war profiteering does help the country???

Is corporate welfare in the constitution?

Yes, it's tough to refute obvious facts, isn't it.

I have read some parts of the Bible, including the Gospels. And I have an impression that helping the poor is one of the main duties of a Christian. Even if that Christian is in need themselves. Not a right or a choice. Duty.

But that of course is my interpretation. And I find it somewhat strange that self proclaimed Christians refuse to fulfil their main duty. While 'atheists' are in favour of that. The world really has turned upside down.

Actually the bible only calls for people to give joyfully and according to their means. For some it may be only a penny or some service, for others it may be a lot. Jesus had several rich friends and benefactors, and took expensive gifts. What he did with them is never stated.

Lol. Typical of a duped con. Social spending wrong. War and corporate spending right. Clearly you know nothing of history.

You likely don’t know this makes you a Fascist. You and Adolf have more in common than you and I.

I thought cons revered the Founding Fathers. I guess not. Frauds!
While the current 12.3 percent poverty rate is welcome news, it’s worth considering why it isn’t a whole lot lower given how much money we’ve poured into the government’s anti-poverty war chest. The estimated aggregate cost of the War on Poverty is nearly $28 trillion, which is three and a half times higher than the $8 trillion total price tag of every major war since the American Revolution.

It’s Time to Admit the Feds Are Making Poverty Worse—Not ...

Then get the fuck out of it, you moron. If you dont like the USA, Cuba is open for business and you can live your utopian socialist paradise there. Just leave this country alone with its flaws.....I really hate stupid Joe Biden Voters.
I am neither a Liberal nor Conservative.

USA has one of the worst human rights records in the World.

-- Genocide of Native Americans
-- Slavery
-- Murder of over 2.5 million civilians (combined) in Korea 1950-53 and Southeast Asia 1965-73
