Should the USA allow Greenland to become a territory after it declares freedom from Denmark?

Greenland is not populated by a bunch of MAGA subhuman Trump ass kissing dopes with shit for brains, so what makes you think they would want to be ruled by a deranged conman like Dotard Donald?

Think everyone is like you & your fellow MAGA travellers wearing a red MAGA "I'm With Stupid" hat?

All of which has nothing to do with anything. Greenland separates from Denmark they will need protection.... Benefits of being a territory are too good to pass up.

They have never accomplished a single thing in Congress. They are as useless as teats on a boar hog.
Lol, fine, let em in then, i don't care.

I think all of this is silly, has anyone asked greenland what they want? They may not want to be a part of the US.

Greenland would be a tremendously advantageous strategic acquisition.

Fisheries, minerals, energy, being able to put a base there.

Lots of good reasons for Greenland to become a territory like US VIRGIN ISLANDS, GUAM, Samoa, PR…

It’s time for Trump to use his book, The Art of the Deal. Trump is primarily a businessman, not a demolition man. Therefore, talking and negotiating are much more suitable for him. :)

Trump's suggestion to use military force to acquire the Panama Canal and Greenland would be illegal under international law. The Panama Canal has been under Panamanian control since the 1999 treaty transfer, which included a neutrality agreement allowing U.S. intervention only to protect the canal's neutrality, not to reclaim it[1][2][6]. Similarly, Greenland is a self-governing territory of Denmark, and any military action against it would violate international sovereignty laws[5][6]. Thus, Trump's proposals lack legal grounding.

True, still, they can affect legislation by offering bills, ammendments and serving on committees. They have an affect on what goes in the bills

There would also be huge investment opportunities....

56,000 people is basically uninhabited....
Greenland is not going to avoid becoming a part of a larger nation. This is the best deal they're gonna get.

It shouldn't be ...
Greenland is not going to avoid becoming part of a larger nation. This is the best offer they will get.
Greenland has as much right to avoid becoming part of a larger nation as Ukraine and Taiwan do. Also, youi are forgetting about Denmark. Denmark has said that Greenland is not for sale. Denmark is part of NATO. A war with Denmark over Greenland would cause Trump, and consequently the United States an enormous amount of trouble. Trump can get away with bullying poor little Panama. He can't do that with Denmark, Canada, or both.

Trump lacks the cult following internationally that he has in the United States. For most of the world he embodies the Ugly American: they see him as brash, arrogant, ignorant, and vulgar.

Our so called news reporters are saying Greenland says no... but Greenland will see the benefit of accepting what is clearly beneficial for their people and their livelihood....
For national security reasons we need to increase the size and population of our base which is also in Greenland's best interest for their security... this could happen... its not so far fetched as our media claims... which you really need to stop believing in what they report....
We already have an AFB in Greenland and don’t need more for our security. This is a blatant resource grab, reminiscent of 19th century colonialism. Why would it be beneficial to them? They already have a sugar daddy.

Danish politicians are shouting so much about the attack of the Russian Federation and stockpiling canned goods for war with the russians, but for some reason it is not the Kremlin, but the USA that is planning to take Greenland from Denmark )))))

As a Trump voter, I say leave them alone. I understand the significance of a strategic and resource rich plot of land.......but those people live as the Swiss do....neutral to the world.

I don't think they should be "invaded" by any countries military bases, bio-labs, and government beaurocracy.

Trump can help them fight for their own independence, and then make deals with the peoples government there, IF they so choose.

It was okay when FDR took Greenland as a protectorate.

"In 1941, the situation shifted towards delivery of Lend-Lease aircraft to Britain via the North Atlantic island "stepping stones." Again, the United Kingdom and Canada pressed for an operation to establish an airfield near Cape Farewell. This led the United States and the Greenland government to formalize an American protectorate to preserve the island's neutrality. Following surveys in 1940 and 1941, two locations for air bases were located, and a naval base established close to Ivigtut. The American bases and stations were codenamed under the Bluie West and Bluie East moniker."
