Should the USA allow Greenland to become a territory after it declares freedom from Denmark?

Fairly self-sufficient? Is it the same for the working poor on food stamps?
Even if they were all on welfare which they are not... there is only 60,000 people living there... don't be too stubborn by half... I happen to know a lot about Greenland...

And a reminder, its a separate country. Are the MAGAs suddenly wanting to become Russia and invade another country? I missed that promise in the Trump Harris debate.

You missed it because you just made it up. MAGA has no plans to invade Greenland. There, you can relax now...

Greenland would be a tremendously advantageous strategic acquisition.

Fisheries, minerals, energy, being able to put a base there.

Lots of good reasons for Greenland to become a territory like US VIRGIN ISLANDS, GUAM, Samoa, PR…

~~~~~~
That would be up to the citizens of Greenland....
Doesn't Congress have a say in any of this? Tell you what, if the democrats are on board with this, then so be it. But it's kinda hard to envision that.
I don't see this as a national security issue. We already have a base there, right? So, where's the gain? And what's the price?
Well that would all be part of the discussion.
The first thing that would have to occur is Greenland getting its independence from Denmark.
Let me guess...if it's something Trump would be making happen...you'll oppose it on general principles? That about sum it up, Konradv? :)
It’s the way he plays with sovereignty, Greenland, Panama, Canada, Ukraine and the State of New York. It’s his sense of entitlement that’s driving us away from our allies and into the arms of the like-minded Putin.
At this point, Trump just pointed out an hour ago at his presser that it remains unclear whether Denmark still even has any legal claim to Greenland.
Take it to the World Court. Trump’s claim to unclarity is a personal failure. Most who know the world realize he’s talking through his ass.
i can’t believe that anyone would waste their time talking about this as if were serious.
You’re sucking up the bullshit.
No one is invading anyone... in fact there are a lot of Greenlanders that would not mind a closer relationship with the USA....
