Would be sort of pointless as well as discriminatory.

Young people still have to pay taxes you know. And if they can't buy the weapons they need legally, they'll buy them from independent, unlicensed firearms dealers who work out of the trunks of their cars.

The old argument used to be that if a 18 year old man is old enough to handle weapons of war and fight for his country, he should be able to vote. The problem with the most notorious shooting in history in Va. Tech Blacksburg was that liberals cared more for the "rights" and privacy of crazy people than citizens.
