Should the next Republican president use his executive PEN to outlaw abortions?

As we have seen, any president can abuse any aspect of The Constitution He/She/It deems irrelevant. And....will continue to do it until halted by impeachment or other permanent means. Precedent being set, it will be fun to see the next Republican President tread the path that has been paved for him/her.

The next Republican President hasn't been born yet

After Obama's lawlessness I should think a Republican could do whatever he wanted.

If you think Obama was bad, you ain't seen noth'in yet.

We will probably look back in 20 years and consider Obama a moderate. It will get worse and worse.

After Obama's lawlessness I should think a Republican could do whatever he wanted.

Bush43 violated at least 3 of the Bill of Rights Amendments and not a single republican whined about it, in fact most of them applauded. What is even worse is not a single Gun Fetishist used their firearms to defend their "freedoms" that he stole.

So when it comes to lawlessness Bush43 set the precedent.

Obama set the standard for creating law with the executive pen & phone after all.

What say you?

Why not? Hillary is already gearing up to use it on gun control and God only knows what else. It appears to be the way to go now. Obama opened the door wide.

Obama has issued fewer executive orders than any recent President

Hardly something new

No, it isn't something new. It is something that should be avoided though.

So you are saying that Obama could overturn Citizen's United through Executive Action?

If you are saying he cannot- well then Obama would agree- since he is openly against the Citizen's United Ruling- but has issued no executive order to counter it.

Almost like he understands- unlike you- that a President cannot use an executive order to ignore a Supreme Court ruling.

So the next president EO's Texas style abortion restriction nationwide.

That OK with you?

When it comes to what Obama understands, he should look to what he said 22 times about not having the authority to do what he did with immigration. He was openly against doing what he did based on HIS claims he didn't have the authority to do it. Then he did it.

I'm sure you have some excuse as to why it was OK despite Obama understanding 22 times he couldn't do it.

The Congress writes the legal framework, the Executive fleshes out the framework with regulations. Presidents have frequently used their pens to change regulations. Obama is not the first.

So...can the next President "outlaw abortions"? No, but he or she can certainly toughen or relax any federal regulations related to abortions.

What other President said 22 times he had no authority to do what Obama said about immigration then did it?

I need a list.

The President has executive powers and is within his rights to use them

I never stated it was not his right dumbass, I stated that a President should not use executive orders because it simply offends the Congress and a lot of the people when one does.

Obama has said a lot of things:

You can keep your doctor, you can keep your hospital, the average family's premiums will go down $2500.00 per year. The terrorists are on the run. Just a few of the things the Liar-in-Chief has said.

You can bet your buns there's gonna be payback. Not only with executive actions being issued and some of Obama's overturned but there will be "get even time" in Congress as well. That said, we must first elect a Republican President.
