If she is able to get into Broadway or opera or something like that, then dress the character...otherwise, be like Kurt Cobain and create your own image.

I'm going against the tide on this one, but what the heck. I have heard that Ms. Boyle has refused any makeovers. My question is "why"? Her voice is beautiful and from what I have heard she has a good heart and spent much of her time taking care of an ailing mum who died recently. I don't think a makeover will change who she is on the inside, but I think a change in her looks may offer her more opportunities.

She definitely can use some waxing on her eyebrows and a new hairdo would do wonders. Ms. Boyle is her own woman and can choose do what she likes, but I think as a rising star she may want to consider her options.
