Should somebody need an ID to vote?

The problem arises as Republicans move from ID to the standards of acceptable ID

Any discrepancy in name or address can be grounds for rejection
People in the cities and elderly people do not have drivers licenses and their form of ID is not acceptable
What are you referring to? Not everyone drives yet there are state-issued IDs. Bring mobile processing units into communities to get people IDs, not just for voting.

Every time the debate on Voter ID comes up, opponents to voter ID point to the elderly and Blacks not having ID. Where is the outcry or push to get people State IDs for all of the access and services they need that require ID?

What are the numbers of elderly and “people in cities” that don’t have ID? What kind of ID are Republicans rejecting? What Republican ms are rejecting them?

They're just regurgitating worn out talking points

My grandmother never drove and she had a valid ID till the day she died and her last year was in hospice. She was blind from childhood yet managed to be a responsible American without the woe is me bullshit

Stop talking out of your ass.
Blind people can't get a photo ID without the help of others. So in effect you're acknowledging that many people who are on their own, won't be allowed to vote.

No one can get an ID without the help of others.

You are claiming that people are so stupid that they can't get ID.

Ok, if they are that stupid they shouldn't be able to vote anyway.

Democrats think they are coming off as empathetic when they talk about classes of people who “can’t” get IDs or request a ballot yet they come off as offensive. All the reasons they keep coming with to oppose Voter ID are pathetic. Makes you wonder why they fight so hard against Voter ID.

I'm saying that there are a lot of people who want to vote, but don't have the time, or the money, or the resources to navigate the government requirements.

Democrats don't oppose voter ID laws. They oppose the draconian voter ID laws, meant only to restrict access.
