I don't ask because I think Dem's should avoid some of their own. Self flagellation is kind of their thing after a losing election cycle and it's happening right now. IMO, Dems should take some of Bill Maher's advice which many of you are likely familiar with. For instance.......is there evidence drag queen shows are harmful to kids? No. Is it good politics to advocate for them? No. Dems need to wake up to the reality that Repubs are very good at exploiting, and lying about, social wedge issues. Wise up and don't make it easy for them. (social wedge issues played a very minor role in this election which was all about inflation)

But nominating trump for a third time and then electing him after what we know from the last 8 years of vitriol, incompetence, and lies, especially after Jan. 6, is inexcusable. It's on Repubs, not Dems. He should not have gotten within a million miles of being on a presidential ballot. Or any ballot for elected office. A fact that's already becoming abundantly clear as he careens towards authoritarian governance by trying to sideline Congress so his farcical cabinet picks can avoid scrutiny. Dashing any hope the warnings from the Left were not spot on. We told you so. You didn't listen. Reflect on that.

There is no reason to have some fetishist perform in front of children.

And yet he defeated the "best" the democrats could put up against him. Let that actually sink in for a moment. You want to say he was such a terrible candidate, yet he twice beat the "best" the democrats had to offer. You can't shake that.

Listening to any shitlib, let alone the deranged OP, twaddle on about introspection just blew up every irony-o-meter in the multiverse! :auiqs.jpg:  :laughing0301:

Your filter seems to be defective. Why focus on the obviously distorted reporting of Trump's actions and words over the past ten years, when we have witnessed over the last eight a campaign of slander, harassment, obstruction, and persecution of Donald Trump that has been (and will continue to be) unprecedented in human history?

It is as though a neighborhood kid is being beaten mercilessly for an entire day, and you are criticizing him for complaining about it.

You Leftist jag-offs constantly rail about your general feeling that Trump is "bad," but when it comes down to specifics, your accusations are either false or...hate to say it...stupid.

..is there evidence drag queen shows are harmful to kids? No..
?????
And here you have it, democrats advocating for transexual drag queens to perform for children in public schools.

Evidence? Yep, you got us there, we don't have a Google link dictating sexualizing children, confusing them into questioning their gender, is harmful.

Democrats have no place in society and least of all, around children.

Don't forget the one week pivot from "Biden is as sharp as a tack" to "Biden needs to go because he isn't all there anymore"

Introspection is for the historians. Usually it's difficult to pinpoint exactly what caused the death of an empire. Not in our case though.

Not if you observe history. We're following the same arc that every empire has followed, idle entitlement sucking up more resources than can be produced by a shrinking working class followed by collapse.

Yes, our oligarchs suck up too many resources. That's by design - neoliberalism makes that happen. And don't fool yourself - the wealthiest in our society remain firmly in the driver's seat, Trumpy or no Trumpy.

I think the winners need to realize why and how they won and losers need to realize why they lost.

I do wonder why Trump won, after the chaos, the insulting, how could people vote for him? It occurred to me that people had a choice and looking over the last four years, people didn’t feel better off than four years ago and they felt Trump was a better choice for America than any other alternative. Why is that? I don’t know.

I think Biden gave the Democrats the finger when he endorsed Harris when they forced him out.

I think that we're seeing something historically similar to the way the parties flipped on race in the early 1960's. The Democrats are now (perceived as) the educated elites, and the Republicans are (perceived as) for the working class.

This sure looks like a seismic shift. The Mitt Romney/Paul Ryan upper crust class of Republicans is essentially gone, and they're not coming back.

I just hope the party can get past this bizarre, ham-handed, alternate reality phase. If they do, the Democrats will have some big decisions to make. They should be making those decisions now, before it's too late.

How do they "suck up" resources without providing value for them? The idle rich, like Paris Hilton, can pump more money into the economy on a weekend shopping spree than I can in a year, and not blink an eye. No, the idle entitled are the green-haired, $1,200 iPhone waving, Starbucks sipping, unemployed college students paying $200,000 for an education and protesting because they're going to have to work after graduating.

I think these threads show the very reason the Democratic Party lost, they are looking to blame others for a loss, they can’t accept the loss and feel superior in their opinion, remember they all actually their victory was going to be a Democratic landslide, where the House would turn blue and the Senate would stay the same. They continue to remain confused.

You see the same phenomenon I see.
